Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu led Ondo State government has denied adopting Oodua anthem.
The Ondo State government said what was adopted is the indigenous anthem which is completely different from Oodua anthem.
Mr Richard Olatunde, Chief Press Secretary to Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, said this in an official statement released today Monday, May 24.
He said this was a move to promote the tradition and culture of the Yoruba race not Oodua nation.
He added that it is important to clarify that the indigenous anthem is different from the Oodua anthem in order to avoid misinterpretation, misconception, and misunderstanding of the aim of the state government.
