No Hajj Pilgrimage Without COVID-19 Vaccination

Abba Adam Koki, the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Chairman has told intending pilgrims for 2021 Hajj to take COVID-19 vaccine.

News Mail Nigeria reports that Koki said this on Thursday while speaking at a sensitization program for pilgrims for the 2021 Hajj in Saudi Arabia. He added that pilgrims must take the vaccine before travelling.

“There is no sickness without a cure. It is acceptable and important to take the vaccine if you must go for Hajj,” he advised.

Abba Dambatta the Executive Secretary of the board also emphasized the need for pilgrims to take the vaccine. He added that all intending pilgrims must be given the jab before leaving to reduce risk of infection.

Halima Mujinyawa, staff of the Kano Immunization Office, disclosed that those who refuse to get vaccinated will not be allowed to enter Saudi Arabia.

“If you refuse to collect the vaccine you will be deported back to your country,” she said.
