Uzodimma To Demolish Another Property Of Rochas Okorocha

Rochas Okorocha ‘s East High Academy has been marked for demolition by the Governor Hope Uzodimma.

News Mail Nigeria reports that Governor Uzodimma seems to have sworn to retrieve every kobo allegedly stolen by his  co party member, Rochas Okorocha from Imo State.

Declan Emelumba, Imo State Commissioner for Information while speaking to newsmen said more properties that belong to Senator Rochas Okorocha which he illegally acquired have been recovered.

You would recall that few weeks ago Rochas Okorocha and his men were shot at while trying to unseal Royal Spring Palm Hotel which was sealed by the Uzodimma led Imo State government. The fracas led to destruction of cars and one of Okorocha’s son-in-laws got shot at.

Rochas Okorocha was arrested, taken to police headquarters, Owerri and later released. Senator Okorocha in a bid to find lasting peace met with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday behind closed doors.

Okorocha told State House Correspondents that he wants peace to reign.

“The whole thing to me sounds like a movie, a joke, a dream that does not reflect any practical reality, but I am a father, I’m a leader of that state and I am trying to make sure things don’t escalate beyond control. “But for what has been done to me, I am human; I can bear it just for the purpose of peace to reign.

Senator Okorocha, who governed Imo State from 2011 to 2019 said he wants to understand why Uzodimma is attacking him.

“I am still waiting to understand the reason why all the attack because before, the allegation was that the money used in building was government money.”

“Now it has changed; it is no longer the issue of government money, but that it is built on the green verge and allocation where government house was supposed to be built. I am still waiting and only time will tell. But let it be known that I was Rochas Okorocha before governor and I am still Rochas Okorocha after governor. “Government House never made me. I was who I was before becoming governor. Rather, I would say that becoming governor was a sacrifice on my own part.”
