Kanu Nwankwo And Peter Rufai Backs Gov. Umahi's Presidential Ambition

Governor David Umahi has gotten the backing of football legends, Kanu Nwankwo and Peter Rufai for his presidential ambition. 

The football legends who were shocked by the massive infrastructural developments in Ebonyi State under David Umahai said the nation is looking for great leaders like Umahai. 

Kanu Nwankwo and Peter Rufai were resource persons who made presentations at the one week #EndSARS youth summit organized by the Ebonyi State government. 

Kanu Nwankwo while speaking about how he felt when he first landed in Ebonyi State described the state as “London in Nigeria”. 

He suggested that Nigeria should enjoy quality leadership that will promote peace and economic development. He also said that the Governor should be given the opportunity to replicates his good works at the national level.

The Nigerian ex-international said Governor Umahai is a special gift to Ebonyi people.

Ebonyi State, you are blessed. The country is looking for his Excellency, Governor David Umahi. Everybody is looking for his Excellency. His good works are speaking for him”.

Kanu Nwankwo also appealed to the youths to nurture interest in education and sports. He described sports as a unifying factor.

Super Eagles former goal keeper , Peter Rufai , said Umahai has made Ebonyi State the fastest developing state in Nigeria. He stressed that Governor Umahai deserves to become the President of Nigeria in 2023 to take his God given gift to national level.

 

Other resource persons who spoke during the occasion, include, a renowned Nollywood actor,Zack Orji,Chairman of CAN, Ebonyi state chapter ,and SSA on religious matter, Father Abraham Nwali, Pastor,Christ Embassy church,Mile 50,Abakaliki,Pastor Eunice Oyeyemi, all called on the youths to desist from social vices and embrace hard work to earn their livings.

The youth summit which lasted for a week was later declared closed by Governor Umahi with a promise to engage Ebonyi youths on meaningful projects that would make them millionaires.
