Third Mainland Bridge will be shutdown for expansion of joint replacement this is from the Federal Controller of Works Lagos, Mr Olukayode Popoola .
NEWS MAIL NG reports that the Third Mainland Bridge will be shutdown for another round of delicate expansion of joints to help the concrete set properly during the curing process.
Popoola added that the stoppage of movement that could cause vibration will go a long way to help achieve this. The Third Mainland Bridge will be closed from 12:00 midnight Friday 29th till midnight Monday February 1st 2021.
“Messers Boroni Prono is planning to cast three number expansion joints on Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st.
” This will require total closure of Third Mainland bridge from 12:00 midnight of Friday 29th till midnight of Monday 1st February 2021.
“We are sorry for the inconveniences this may cause Lagosians.”
